FEDERAL VETERINARY AND PHYTOSANITARY MONITORING SERVICE PROHIBITED NIGHT EXAMINATIONS IN NOVOROSSIYSK, GELEDZHIK AND TUAPSE…
No port of Krasnodar Region can’t boast of up-to-date proper conditions complying with the necessary safety rules for phytosanitary monitoring carrying out. This is the fact which the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service refers to in its explanation of the decision made – prohibition of the night examinations at the ports of Krasnodar Region.
Also, Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service points out “incorrect” behavior of some broker companies …
“Such companies tried to avoid presentation of the vegetable products lots of high pest risk for examination during day time, to put pressure on the inspectors of the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service for the purpose of carrying out phytosanitary quarantine control of the lots at night”.
PRESS SERVICE OF THE FEDERAL VETERINARY AND PHYTOSANITARY MONITORING SERVICE
It is no coincidence that they chose night time as the brokers were aware of the fact that due to outdated equipment of the facilities and premises, where phytosanitary, veterinary and quarantine control is carried out, it would not be performed so accurately as during the day time. “It makes night control of the cargoes potentially dangerous and inefficient. At the same time scope of the vegetable products supplies is constantly increasing”.
However, Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service is ready to resume round-the-clock service for carrying out of quarantine phytosanitary control provided that port authorities of the ports of Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik and Tuapse ensure proper conditions in compliance with the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Committee. Currently phytosanitary and quarantine examinations at the port of Novorossiysk are carried out up to 22:00 Moscow time. Dear foreign trade operators please take this fact into account during your operation.
I wish you every happiness, sincerely yours, Anatoly.
